After a flight, do you ever feel as though your skin is dry and you’re covered in germs? Or maybe you’re flying to take a trek in Nepal, soaking in the rays on a magnificent beach, adventuring in nature somewhere in the middle of a forest, or worried about the perfect look for a five-star wine dinner. Whatever the occasion, these ideal products will leave you refreshed and always ready for your trip. As a woman who travels a lot (40,000 air miles in one month), I’ve learned a thing or two about what you need to look and feel your best when you step off a plane and throughout your stay. From the airplane to the beach, and camping to business meetings, you’ll love my list of 12 essential travel products to ensure a comfortable, safe, and easy trip. 1- AloeClyC - Exfoliate. Exfoliate. Exfoliate. The best thing you can do for your skin is exfoliation. Even after a fifteen-hour flight, my skin is glowing. The secret is Lexli AloeGlyC, a daily exfoliator that is safe, not harsh on your skin. Based with 99.9% professional grade aloe vs. water, this product has changed my life and my skin. If you want a secret weapon, this is it. Proper exfoliation can encourage collagen growth, which can aid in reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and even cellulite on legs. Yes, I use this before putting on a bathing suit. 2- Cocktail Kit - Long flights may call for an adult beverage, and for those that love craft cocktails, this product is a travel staple. Offering kits such as the Bloody Mary, Moscow Mule, Gin & Tonic, Champagne Cocktail, Old Fashioned, Hot Toddy, Margarita and more, these are sure to be a hit mid-flight. Kits include the necessary mixers and tools. It is a perfect bon voyage gift or surprise for your travel companions. 3- Pacsafe Backpack - Safety is a concern, especially in today’s world. With a line of products, from luggage to backpacks, Pacsafe offers an enhanced sense of security. The Citysafe CX- Anti-Theft Backpack is a favorite due to its organizational compartments, sleek design, and space for a 13” laptop. With turn and lock security hooks, a locking system, slash proof material and more, find comfort in knowing your stuff is safe and secure wherever you may be roaming on this earth. 4- Theraworx Protec t - Now this is a noteworthy travel hack — Theraworx 2 oz. Foam and Spray were made for hospitals to aid with infections. Just like hospitals, planes and trains are covered in germs - from the tray tables to the smelly bathrooms. Unless you plan to travel wearing a face mask and latex gloves, you’ll want to take advantage of germ away advantages. I use it on my hands and face pre and post flight, and, knock on wood, I have not been sick in over a year of traveling. I’ve also used it in a pinch to remove a coffee stain from a white shirt — it worked like a charm. It’s a must-have for battling unwanted travel germs. 5- Beacon Camp Blanket - Heritage blankets dating back to 1904. This original camping blanket with Navajo designs are comfy, cozy, and the perfect snuggle up friend. Take camping or cuddle up in front of a fireplace for a luxurious touch of comfort. I often gift this year round for warmth. As their tagline states, “Beacon Blankets Make Warm Friends.” 6- Protalus Insoles - Insoles? Why on earth would those be at the top of this 2019 list? Well, this brand specifically due to the science behind their insoles. By helping to align the ankle properly, these achieve maximum success in support. Couple that with the way it makes you feel, and you could walk for hours on end. Whether you are going to Disneyland, Europe, or anywhere you will be on your feet- this is a must-have in my book. When our feet are tired, our legs get achy, and we become irritated, similar to that hangry feeling. Travel in comfort and keep moving with these insoles, your feet, and vacation companions will thank you. And P.S., they make one for heels. 7- EyeLuminator - Have you ever watched people exit planes? They look tired, and their eyes often look terrible. As a woman, I am worried about looking gross after a flight. Say goodbye to your dark circles and appearance of wrinkles with EyeLuminator. Make the skin under your eyes bright and ready to go. A natural product by SeneGence, I recommend it because it works like a charm on my droopy eyes. It is a staple in my purse for a quick revitalization. Secretly, you could get away with a swipe of the illuminator under each eye, mascara, and a great moisturizer if your makeup bag was inaccessible. 8- Lexli Sunscreen - “Did you pack the sunscreen? No, I thought you did.” How often has that been the question asked on vacation? Keep your skin safe from the sun, no matter what the temperature may be at your destination sunscreen is always important. Large, bulky, and aerosol type cans are not ideal for packing. I’ve discovered a 4oz bottle that is made with 99.9% professional grade aloe, not only does it work, it is good for your skin and easy to pack. (Also a 2018 Aestheticians Choice Award Winner) 9- Colgate Wisps - Everyone feels better when they know their breath is on point. After a long day of traveling, likely coupled with unhealthy snacks, you’re left with something far worse than morning breath. Carry a couple of Colgate wisps with you to use at any time. You will feel more confident in a meeting, on a plane, or during a conversation with someone you meet. It’s the little things that make us feel better about ourselves. 10- The “Wet” Brush - We’ve all been there, tangled hair and no brush in the suitcase. The Wet Brush will take all tangles out in a matter of seconds, and it’s good for thick, curly, or straight hair. If you plan to go to the beach, this brush is a must. The brush is affordable and works better than any regular brush. I can’t explain it; it just does. Your luscious locks will love you forever! 11 - Tweezerman Mini Slant Tweezer - The tweezer of the century! Have you ever used a pair of tweezers that would not grab a stubborn hair? Consuming your thoughts that someone was looking at the out-of-place hair on your eyebrow? Well, Tweezerman Mini Slant Tweezer will have you wondering where they’ve been all of your life. This is a must-have beauty essential in your travel bag, saving the day from stubborn hairs or slivers. 12- Google Translate - Language barriers can be troublesome at times, and being able to say hello or goodbye in a different language is a common courtesy. Before traveling, download the Google Translate App to quickly and easily learn a word or two or have it available when in a pinch. One of my favorite things about Google translate is the ability to use it offline. So what are you waiting for? Get out there. Life is a beautiful adventure and travel makes you richer. Enjoy your Cloudsurfing, aka flying.
