Over the years the firm has flourished, and J/Brice has been a Certified Interior Design Giant since 1993, and Architectural Giant since 1995. Additionally, the firm is consistently ranked among the leading interior design firms worldwide, specializing in interiors for the hospitality industry. Specialising in the hotel design space, the firm has over 220 hotel and restaurant projects to its credit, as well as a diverse portfolio of corporate and residential interiors. JBrice has also been recognized for its work with distinctions such as Best Upscale Hotel Design of the Year, Hotel of The Year, and High-End Hospitality Project of The Year, Intercontinental Hotel Group Renovation of the Year, Best Luxury Suite, Most Ambient Hotel Lobby, and Best Guestroom. As testimony to its excellence in hospitality design, J/Brice is a preferred design group for Hilton Hotels, Marriott International/Starwood Hotels, Intercontinental Hotel Group, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, and Wyndham Worldwide Properties. International credentials include work for TAJ Hotels, Kempinski, Royal Tulip, and boutique properties in Qatar, and The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This success in the hospitality space is thanks to the experience of Principal Jeff Brice, who grew up in New York and graduated from Brandeis University with continued studies at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. An innovative mind, a passion for creativity and distinction, an unquenchable thirst to be immersed in all the cultures around the glove, and all new initiatives on the world’s stage of design, fashion, music, culinary arts, politics and social changes are all vital attributes need to be a top designer. As such, Jeff has worked hard over the years to ensure that he is able to create truly visionary designs that will stand the test of time. Alongside this, the firm’s deign for the Kempinski al Othman, the first Kempinski to open in the Saudi kingdom, and altered then landscape in al Khobar, and set the bar higher than ever before for luxury accommodation. It resonates tremendously with locals and travellers alike and addresses cultural nuance while still recognizing the global clientele. Today, Jeff is a guest lecturer throughout the Middle East, Europe and North America, and was the first American named keynote speaker of The Kingdom Hotel Expansion and Investment World Summit in Riyadh, KSA. He has twice been a featured speaker at Concepts Middle East in Doha, Hotel and Resorts Middle East in Dubai, as well as in Interior Design & Construction India, and many times at Heimtextil, the world’s largest international textile trade fair in Frankfurt. Other speaking engagements include lectures at HD Expo, HD Boutique, HOTEC USA, Asia and Europe, and Hospitality Match USA, and Europe. As a pioneer in the design industry, Jeff and his team have changed the face of the market for the better. For example, years ago, JBrice coined the phrase “Cultural Spy” to define its approach to the design process, calling for redefining hotel design as hotel fashion to emphasize a guest-centric rather than property-centric philosophy to branding. Largely embraced by the industry, this results in interiors that resonate with the attitudes and mores of the current marketplace, impart a memorable guest experiences, build brand equity and contribute directly to profits. Looking to the future, J/Brice has many exciting projects on the horizon which will allow it to grow even further and enhance its already illustrious portfolio by including a diverse range of clients who are spread across all seven continents.
