70 Pamper Exclusive Snuggly nestled in the heart of England’s glorious countryside is the historic Ye Olde Bell Hotel & Spa, which LUXlife was privileged to visit. Staying at the Ye Olde Bell Hotel & Spa is a true treat, and from the moment guests arrive at this sumptuous historic building the staff cannot be more supportive and welcoming. Shown to our room, we were surprised and delighted by the beauty and splendour in which we would be staying, and the space was brimming with character thanks to the antique and elegant furnishings. Located in Barnby Moor, the hotel enjoys a rather special and unusual position just minutes from the A1 and on the border of four different counties, and as such there is a vast choice of activities for those who wish to explore the region and make the most out of their trip away. Later, we returned to the hotel to indulge in a little relaxation in its tranquil environs before our evening meal. Dining at this unique establishment is as much an experience as it is a meal. We are told that, thanks to its location on the border of three counties, Ye Olde Bell’s Head Chef and his talented team have first- hand access to outstanding produce from Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. As such, the food is delicious and fresh, with the menu taking inspiration from classic dishes with a strong French inspiration, including the Coq au vin which we sampled and were utterly delighted by. At the bar there is a vast selection of beers, wines and spirits on offer so that guests will be spoilt for choice, and the welcoming atmosphere at the bar makes it the perfect setting for a relaxed drink before retiring to the comfort and splendour of the hotel’s bedrooms. Following a great nights’ sleep, we explored the spa, which although small had a lot to offer, including a selection of steam rooms, as well as heated indoor and outdoor pools. We sampled a mini Turkish ritual massage, which was completely unlike any massage we had enjoyed before and offered a great new experience. With options for occasions, weddings and conferences, there is something for everyone at Ye Olde Bell Hotel & Spa. Everyone from families to couples and individuals is welcomed with open arms, and from our experience it is clear that any guest, no matter how discerning, will come away feeling like all is right with the world.
