Charles Laurie London crafts four timeless pieces for debut men’s collection
British leather designer and craftsman Charlie Laurie has launched the first collection of his new eponymous solo venture, Charles Laurie London. The Meantime Collection is a contemporary take on timeless classics – the quartet of beautifully hand-crafted leather goods are designed to take their discerning owners from work, through to the weekend in sophisticated style.
Designed and handcrafted utilising traditional methods at Charlie’s studio in Deptford – which overlooks Greenwich and inspired the name for his debut collection – each product is made from low carbon, lightweight leather, with contrasting waxy bridle leather for fixtures and handles. Each made-to-order item is individually fashioned and personalised, with a choice of suede lining colours. Using leather sourced from Britain’s last remaining tanneries, Charlie brings together his traditional training in saddlery and modern style.
