Royal Salute Toasts Mid-Autumn Festival with Limited Editions
The ‘King of Whisky’, Royal Salute, has unveiled two limited edition gift sets in celebration of the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival. The first in an annual series celebrating British royal traditions, the limited edition gift sets depict the impressive ‘Art of Blending’ and draw parallels between the skill, craftsmanship and rituals involved in blending Scotch whisky and another favourite royal pastime: tea.
Launching as two bespoke versions that depict Eastern and Western interpretations of the theme, the limited editions both feature the signature Royal Salute 21 Year Old expression inside a stunning gift box, created in partnership with esteemed British artist Martin O’Neill. His hand-crafted collage work features striking and colourful images of tea rituals alongside famous landmarks, sites and other cultural icons.
Royal Salute Director of Blending, Sandy Hyslop said of the limited editions: “Royal Salute is no stranger to gifting and when we think celebration, we think 21 Year Old. It’s our signature expression and one that was originally created as a celebratory gift all those years ago to mark the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
“The Mid-Autumn Festival honours the end of the autumn harvest when the moon is at its roundest and brightest; the much-loved festival symbolises togetherness and reunion – values that are absolutely inherent in Royal Salute. So, what better way to celebrate than with our majestic rich, round and velvety 21 Year Old in these stunning new gift sets.”
The Royal Salute ‘Art of Blending’ limited editions will be available globally from August 2018 for a limited time and are the first in what will become an annual series that honours British royal traditions interpreted in Eastern and Western cultures.
Royal Salute Marketing Director, Mathieu Deslandes added: “We love the synergies between the craft of blending tea and that of blending Scotch whisky – both works of art and beloved by royalty as time-honoured ways to toast momentous occasions with family and friends – in both Eastern and Western cultures.
“Our ‘Art of Blending’ series brings these similarities to life in spectacular colour and intricate detail that not only pays homage to the knowledge, skill and true artistry of blending, but celebrates the many ways tea, like Scotch whisky, is enjoyed around the world.”
The Royal Salute 21 Year Old ‘Art of Blending’ Limited Edition Gift Packs will be available globally from August 2018 for a RRP of USD $130, in time for the Mid-Autumn Festival in September. For further information, visit: www.royalsalute.com.
