Michelin-star The Angel at Hetton is celebrating its eight years anniversary with the launch of a limited-edition 8 Year Celebration menu, inviting diners to experience a lunch inspired by the restaurant’s culinary journey since opening in 2018.
Available for a limited time on Fridays and Saturdays, this specially curated lunch celebrates the finest seasonal ingredients and the landscapes that have inspired the restaurant’s culinary journey. Combined with the exceptional hospitality for which The Angel is renowned, it reflects everything that has established it as one of Yorkshire’s leading dining destinations.
Guests will enjoy a specially curated seasonal multi-course tasting experience featuring dishes like Chalk Stream trout with roasted bone dashi, ponzu washed roe and creme fraiche; Yorkshire chicken with celeriac, charred lettuce, enriched chicken ramen and hen of the wood; as well as Yorkshire strawberries with Tahitian vanilla and sweet cicely. The menu also includes The Angel’s signature Hokkaido milk bread served with Ampersand butter, Colonnata lardo and taramasalata, while an indulgent British artisan cheese course and a premium Wagyu course are available as optional additions, subject to availability.
Priced at £58 per person, the Celebration Lunch offers exceptional value for guests looking to experience co-owner and executive chef Michael Wignall’s Michelin-starred cooking in a relaxed lunchtime setting. The menu is available exclusively at lunchtime on Fridays and Saturdays and must be booked in advance.
