With the Barbie film on the cusp of its release, brands have collaborated officially with the film or have jumped on the bandwagon with the iconic pink colour being the trendiest colour in the high street currently.
High street brands like Zara, footwear and accessory brand Aldo, beauty and skincare brands such as NYX Professional Make up and Glow Recipe have all partnered with the talk of the town movie and have released limited-edition products to go alongside the rage of the Barbie movie.
Barbie X Kipling
With the world set to be gripped by Barbiecore fever this summer, Belgian bag and accessories brand Kipling is thrilled to launch its collaboration with the iconic fashion doll. The range, set to include eight bags and two news accessories, is a playful and positive collection finished in pink, perfectly colour matched to the iconic hue instantly recognisable as Barbie.
Featuring zips and trimmings in white, there’s a super sweet feel to these innovatively crafted delectables that are lacquered with a transparent glaze to create a special shiny version of Kipling’s signature crinkle nylon. Stand-out details include a silicone Barbie logo tag, adding the iconic brand to the seam on the bag’s side. On the opposite side, a doll, wearing a Barbie-pink jacket, dangles from the handle. With iconic detailing and finished in Barbie pink with a new shiny glaze, these are lightweight, optimistic must-haves with a fresh feel and a super-energetic mood.
Meanwhile, the range of eight bags features some of Kipling’s most wanted and bestseller styles including the Art lightweight tote and the compact Seoul backpack. Smaller-scale bags include the top handle Bina, cross-body Afa, shoulder bags Gabbie Mini and Ayda and the Creativity pouch. The collection is completed by the inclusion of the Yasemina waist-pack, the perfect option to complement your ensemble this summer. The bags’ linings all feature a playful mix of photorealistic Barbie dolls and Barbie logos, and each bag is signed off with the classic Kipling roundel logo in the centre. Barbie X Aldo
Since it is officially the summer of Barbie, Aldo have launched their first collaboration with the iconic character, a 19-piece limited edition collection featuring footwear, handbags and accessories all in different shades of the iconic pink.
The brand commented that the aim of the collaboration was to design pieces that every Barbies fan could envision themselves wearing since Barbie is nostalgic to so many different generations of people. With this in mind, the collection ranges in designs from a monochrome pink stiletto heel sandal to bright bedazzled Barbie pink pumps which also flash the logo of the celebrated doll. Accessories like jewelled sunglasses, matching statement jewellery and a bright pink crossbody bag that is decorated in cute Barbie badges and rhinestones, also grace the limited-edition collection.
Barbie X Crocs
Though Barbie would choose heels over flat shoes any day, but if she were to choose comfy footwear they would obviously be bright pink crocs! So if you’re looking to add the Barbie flare to your Crocs then the Barbie collection is exactly what you need.
The bright pink range flashes five different designs and all of them come with themed Jibbitz that look like they have come straight from the set of the Barbie movie!
Barbie X Zara
Zara have embraced the Barbiecore like no other with their recently launched summer collection. Inspired by the looks of Margot Robbie from the widely anticipated Greta Gerwig directorial, the modern fashion brand has launched pieces that will only add to the frenzy of Barbie.
The capsule collection includes contemporary pieces in both womenswear and menswear, beauty products and home décor. Inspired directly from the film, the collection includes a pink gingham dress like the one Margot Robbie is seen in in the film’s trailer as well as a denim vest set including a pink bandana scarf which has been influenced by one of Ryan Gosling’s Western-inspired attires in the movie.
