The final quarter of 2025 is set to be an exciting one at Heritage Resorts & Golf in Mauritius, with three not-to-be-missed events offering a rich variety of experiences for guests. Across its three properties – Heritage Le Telfair, Heritage Awali and Heritage The Villas – Heritage Resorts & Golf invites you to celebrate all things gastronomy, golf, and festive. With Sustainable Gastronomy Week from 6–11 October, the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open from 18–21 December at La Réserve Golf Links, and the vibrant festive season programme ALIVE, the south-west coast of Mauritius is the place to be to round off the year in unforgettable fashion and welcome 2026 in the best possible way.
6–11 October: Sustainable Gastronomy Week
From 6 to 11 October 2025, Heritage Resorts & Golf will host the fourth edition of Sustainable Gastronomy Week, now a must-attend event for lovers of eco-conscious cuisine and culinary creativity. Overseen by acclaimed Michelin Green Star chef Jean-François Bérard, this signature event shines a spotlight on Mauritian flavours, all while promoting environmentally responsible practices and local expertise.
This year, the central theme is water. Guided by this concept, the resort’s culinary teams will present a week filled with competitions, workshops, meet-and-greets, and unique tasting experiences – all underpinned by key values such as seasonality, short supply chains, sustainable resource use, and the sharing of knowledge.
Among the week’s highlights that guests can get involved in are three culinary competitions open to the Heritage Resorts & Golf teams:
• Best Lunch Menu: a creative three-course concept
• Best Gala Dinner: a water-inspired menu with thoughtful food and wine pairings
• Best Cocktail: a sensory journey using local flowers, spices and botanicals
Each evening, gala dinners will take place at the various resort venues, featuring specially crafted menus inspired by the theme of water and the richness of Mauritian ingredients.
