The mass-appeal adult pop music format “Adult Contemporary” has always had very little valid chart data available, because its listener preferences are hard to determine conventionally. For 42 years our weekly “Music Letter” has assisted radio in finding the right new and current tracks to play based on a trademarked system of research called “Reverse Focus Group”, which prequalifies participants so their preferences become valid indicators for wide AC appeal. Audience ratings have consistently validated the results. Pop music listeners do prefer new music – but it has to be the right music! Our unique research is the key to success.
