I formed Askrigg Ropemakers November 22 after being made redundant from Outhwaite’s. I am dedicated to creating handmade bespoke items and keeping traditional ropemaking in the UK alive. I am one of only 11 traditional Ropemakers in the UK. And the only female in the north to produce rope on a commercial scale.
