The Bouchard Finlayson estate spans 125 hectares in the Hemel-en-Aarde valley, with 25 hectares under vine and the rest preserved as a conservancy for indigenous fynbos vegetation. The valley’s unique terroir blends ancient soils with cool coastal breezes from the nearby Indian Ocean at Walker Bay. Mountain peaks trap moisture, ensuring frost-free winters and cool summers that allow slow, even ripening before harvest—ideal for producing exceptional Pinot Noir.
