Edmonton Cold Weather Animal Rescue

In January 2020, a stray, distressed cat was spotted trying to get warm on a sewer grate in west Edmonton in -28° weather. Our group started after the above incident, and a Facebook page was set up to provide an organized response to such incidents. Our members on Facebook have grown to over 12,300 as of June 2024. We are proud to say that we have helped since our inception over 1,300 animals, provided veterinary care for many and helped over 864 get back home or to a new home.
