Scottish Links Golf Course of the Year 2018
Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Links is a Championship golf course with breath-taking views over the Moray Firth on what is one of the most unique settings where you are likely to play golf – only 20 minutes from Inverness City Centre. This historic course that dates back to 1793, making it the 15th Oldest Recorded Club in the World. Teeming with Scottish history, golfers of varied abilities will love the chance to play all 18 holes with four different tees to choose from. This 6,085 yard course is known for its fast but deceptive greens as players navigate their way past strategically placed bunkers and tight fairways. These attributes are a clear indication of the work of five-time Open Champion James Braid who redesigned the course in 1932.
The Club were voted (by the public) as Scotland’s Best Golfing Experience (value for money) at the Scottish Golf Tourism Awards when held at Turnberry in 2017 and again in November 2018 when the awards were recently held at St. Andrews. In addition to offering an enthralling round of golf, the club also provides a range of facilities to further elevate your overall experience including a 400 yard long practice range, short game practice area, putting greens, practice nets, ball machine, bunker area and covered bays. The Club also has a bar and restaurant facility buggy and caddy hire, and an extensively stocked pro shop.
