Ponden Hall

Situated high on the Pennine Way, on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors, Ponden Hall is a (mostly) Jacobean manor house most famous for inspiring the interior of Wuthering Heights in Emily Brontë’s famous novel. In a room at the top of the house is the famous window said to have been the inspiration for the story of Cathy’s ghost banging relentlessly, desiring to come in.
