Best Urban Celebration Event 2025 – NYC
The Village Trip is an award-winning annual festival celebrating the rich history of arts and
activism in Greenwich Village and the East Village of Downtown Manhattan. The Village
Trip 2026 runs from September 25 – October 4 featuring folk, rock, jazz, and classical music;
art, poetry, drama and comedy; discussions, talks and tours. Highlights include celebrations
of Paul Robeson, Miles Davis and John Coltrane. Children’s events include songwriting for
junior troubadours and the premier of NYC Children’s Theater’s interactive performance of
Woody Guthrie’s Songs to Grow On. The festival’s signature free concert in Washington
Square Park takes place on September 26.
