Zanzibar Coffee House Cafe

The Zanzibar Coffee House Hotel offers a touch of magic and romance in an authentic Arabic house deep in the heart of Stone Town. Transformed into a stylish boutique hotel with harmonious interiors, antiques and rich fabrics, it is one of the oldest buildings in Zanzibar constructed in 1885 by Sir Tharia Topan, Wazir to Sultan Said Bargash.

The ground floor is home to an authentic Café with an adjacent coffee roasting room. Guests can witness the roasting of our self-produced coffee and enjoy the wonderful smell which engulfs the building. Above the Café, eight individually styled hotel rooms feature beautiful floors and rare lamps and are furnished with fine Arab style antiques, all creating a comfortable and cosy atmosphere.

The rooftop with a 360-degree balustrade is the buildings highlight and where our guests can enjoy the impressive view and the sounds of Stone Town while having breakfast with coffee and fresh croissants. The Zanzibar Coffee House Hotel is ideal for the individual traveller seeking a special place to stay, but the house can also accommodate families.
