Arriving at the property, Kim discovered that, whilst the interiors were dated and not very functional, the silver lining was that the bare bones of the house were strong and the view that it offered was nothing short of spectacular, due to it being set on a golf course and complete with both a resort-style pool and a waterfall. Kim’s optimism paved the way for extensive conversations and the development of a design direction, and this was enough for the owners to stay and begin turning their tired house into their forever home. The project took a couple of years to complete, as it required a total renovation of the main level, as well as a reimagining of the terrace level, which was fitted with a media and billiards room to accommodate the owners’ lifestyle and large family gatherings. Other standout features include an all-seasons veranda overlooking the pool and golf course, with this late addition adding the finishing touches on a unique, fabulous house. Looking back on this high-end interior design project now that it is finished, Kim told us: “This project was particularly rewarding as it required guiding the homeowners to visualise the home’s potential. Our design process guided them through concept development and visual representation of the design with all material elements. The original disjointed and visually underwhelming house has been completely transformed into their beautiful, liveable, forever home.” This level of transformation is where Piroli Design excels.
