4 | LUXlife Magazine ur current world is not sustainable, so we need to think and work harder to find new ways of designing spaces. This is exactly where Studio Chintamani comes in, especially as its founder Chintamani Bird dedicates herself to biophilic design for the wellbeing, and healing, of the planet and us as inhabitants. Designing with nature in mind is creating heirlooms for the generations to come, making this biophilic design studio one of the leading lights for its industry and beyond. Chintamani believes that interior design, based purely on aesthetics, can lack longevity and sustainability due to the nature of passing trends. Her studio is actively battling this through scientific study and sustainable practices, and here at LUXlife we’re proud to explore how this approach is paying off. Rooted in anthropological studies, Studio Chintamani’s work highlights just how important nature is throughout the human experience. This is especially true in relation to neurodivergence and emotional healing. Adapting lighting, materials, and colour schemes, and utilising plant life in the design of any space holds a lot of weight for individuals everywhere, and biophilic design has become a sought-after service in many areas around the world. Chintamani is a true advocate for the positive impact nature has on the human condition and, in this respect, she told us: “Biophilic design is about helping and supporting, increasing the quality of ecological landscapes with buildings and neuropsychological value that nature has on the human population.” Chintamani herself has spent much of her time dedicated to perfecting her craft, so that others can benefit from her experiences both good and bad. She has her own unique perspective of life, where she utilises her knowledge in order to help others on their healing journeys. Understanding the power of nature on neuropsychological functions, Chintamani is committed to alleviating traumatic conditions such as C-PTSD for countless women. In this vein, Chintamani is currently applying for research grants to begin working in domestic violence shelters where she plans to apply biophilic design principles to improve abuse survivors’ experiences of healing from trauma. Chintamani will ultimately contribute her white paper PhD to the world, helping not only the biophilic design sphere to flourish but also countless individuals who are experiencing mental health issues embedded in trauma. Leader in Biophilic Interior Design for Human Wellbeing 2026 In today’s society, many spaces have grown further and further apart from nature. We all know of cold, greyscale, faceless spaces that don’t spark joy, and they have become all too familiar to humankind. Chintamani Bird is on a mission to challenge the status quo in order to bring deeper levels of connection, unrivalled peace, and crucial healing. Here we take a closer look at her creation, Studio Chintamani, as we bestow the firm with its title in our Home and Garden Awards 2026. O Supporting Us and Our Planet to Heal

Home and Garden Awards 2026 | 5 One of the many things that Chintamani is proud of is being acknowledged at the World Leader Summit, with both an award and the opportunity to be a keynote speaker. She has been doing all of this alone for five years but is now slowly growing the studio and its presence. This month will see Chintamani hire two more people who each bring their own unique offerings to the table and, with this, the future of the studio is set to be an exciting and enriching opportunity for the biophilic design sphere and neurodivergent support. With this rapid growth period, with two new member already on board and two more to come, Studio Chintamani is able to take on more work as a neuro-biophilic consultancy firm and innovative design studio. The research grants for her biophilic design PhD in Melbourne are sure to enrich the studio’s offerings well into the years to come, notably due to the timeless nature of biophilic design both aesthetically and in relation to neurological health. No longer do we have to feel devoid of nature, especially as the biophilic design seeps into every corner of the globe. We need stewardship of nature, those who will stand tall and advocate for the natural world and what it can do for us, and Studio Chintamani is a shining example of dedication to the value of our mental wellbeing, how we can enhance it, and what biophilic design can help us to achieve. When we go for a walk in nature, the hormones emitted by plants actually boost out immune systems and help us to process stress effectively. This is something that Studio Chintamani values extremely highly as the team strive to prioritise some of the most important parts of design – sustainability in both design and effectiveness on mental health. “Our passion lies in designing environments where people feel safe, calm, inspired, and truly at home within themselves. At Studio Chintamani, we believe that the built environment can either contribute to the pressures of modern life or, more powerfully, serve as a catalyst for healing, connection, and resilience. “We are equally committed to sustainability, biodiversity, and responsible design, holding that human wellbeing and planetary health are deeply interconnected. Each project presents an opportunity to foster healthier individuals, more resilient communities, and a more mindful relationship with the natural world.” Chintamani continues to be recognised with notable accolades for her professional yet compassionate attitude towards her work and those affected by trauma. Now, Chintamani and her team have their sights set on a better understanding of healing through biophilic design. The future ahead looks incredibly promising, even with such a high bar set in the sector. As our Leader in Biophilic Interior Design for Human Wellbeing 2026, Studio Chintamani is not simply meeting that high standard, but the team is helping to solidify it and push it further than ever before. 6 | LUXlife Magazine Best Full-Service Interior Design & Renovation Studio 2026 – Melbourne & Most Influential Woman in Construction 2026 (Melbourne): Sarah Heyes The landscape of interior design is shifting, as consumers step away from unattainable aesthetics and towards designs that improve their daily lives. Provoke Design is one Australian firm stepping up to meet this demand headon, placing its focus on creating homes that feel personal, functional, and, most importantly, genuinely enrich the lives of those who live in them. We heard more from Provoke Design’s own Sarah Heyes below. Based in Melbourne, Provoke Design is a boutique interior design and building studio that specialises in thoughtful, highly functional residential renovations. The firm focuses primarily on kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, wardrobes, and small- to medium- residential transformations, placing a particular emphasis on creating spaces that feel beautiful, practical, and deeply connected to the ways its clients live their lives. Provoke Design works with a wide range of clients, from young families seeking clever spatial planning through to downsizers, professionals, and older clients needing future-focused homes. Many projects require the firm to work within the constraints of these clients’ existing homes, demanding that the team prioritises intelligent planning and details that genuinely improve everyday living, instead of relying on excess space and oversized budgets. This approach is made possible by Provoke Design’s distinctive positioning. “What makes our business unique is our combination of interior design expertise with hands-on building knowledge," Sarah explained. “As both designers and licensed builders, we bridge the gap between concept and construction, guiding projects from initial vision through to completion with clarity and realism.” Sarah Heyes is the Founder, Creative Director, and Principal Designer of Provoke Design. After embarking on her professional journey within spatial design in the 90s, Sarah has built a wealth of invaluable expertise in interior design, working as an independent consultant and for large design firms. Now, Sarah leverages this experience to lead Melbourne’s interior design sector, driven by a passion for her craft that has earned her the reputation of Melbourne’s Most Influential Woman in Construction 2026. Driven by Sarah’s unique perspective, Provoke Design aims to create spaces that improve how people live each day. Where many firms create designs that feel unattainable and overly styled, Prove Design has distinguished itself by delivering thoughtful, timeless design outcomes that genuinely enhance everyday living while maintaining warmth, personality, and an unwavering connection to the Australian lifestyle and landscape. An important aspect of this approach involves promoting inclusive and adaptable designs that meet the needs of people at different stages of life. Whether making kitchens more familyfriendly, making bathrooms more accessible, or installing aging-in-place considerations, Provoke Design strives to create spaces that are simply more comfortable and easier to live in longer-term. With over two decades of experience in project management, the team at Provoke Design understands that successful projects are not simply based upon the final result but also how the client feels throughout the entire process. Renovating a home can feel very emotional and overwhelming for clients, so communication, trust, and transparency remain high priorities at every stage of the project. Sarah explained, “We believe clients value honesty and responsiveness just as much as good design.” Moving forward, Provoke Design will continue to grow steadily through residential renovation projects that align closely with its passion for thoughtful, highly personalised design. One particularly exciting upcoming project will involve a country home featuring heritagelisted buildings. This type of project is always incredibly rewarding for the team, as it requires a careful balance between preserving the property’s character and history whilst introducing modern functionality and comfort for contemporary living. Concurrently, the firm is also commencing work on a family home renovation that will see the addition of a much-needed ensuite for the parents. This project is grounded in improving everyday quality of life, creating spaces that make busy family living more comfortable, functional, and enjoyable. Sarah commented, “We love working on projects where relatively targeted renovations can make such a meaningful difference to how a home operates for the people living there.” More broadly, Provoke Design is seeing continued demand for well-considered renovations over large-scale rebuilds, with more clients seeking to maximise the potential of their existing homes through clever design and strong project management. We at LUXlife magazine have no doubt the team will continue to meet this demand, demonstrating precisely why Provoke Design has been named Melbourne’s Best Full-Service Interior Design and Renovation Studio 2026. Looking to the future, Sarah concluded, “As a studio, we look forward to continuing to build strong client relationships and deliver projects that feel personal, practical, and enduring, while maintaining the hands-on, collaborative approach that defines our business.” Contact: Sarah Heyes Company: Provoke Design Web Address: www.provokedesign.com.au Provoke Design

Home and Garden Awards 2026 | 7 As working from home becomes a norm for workplaces around the world, many of us are now spending more time in our own spaces. With more time to assess, criticise, and reenvision our homes, this rise in remote work has caused a surge in demand for interior design specialists. Enter Uncommon Interiors, a leading Virginia-based firm that has made a name for transforming spaces with unique designs that make spaces feel custom-made for their user. We spoke with Founder Jennifer Neyra below, as Uncommon Interiors is named in the Home and Garden Awards 2026. Most Unique Residential Interior Designs 2026 – Virginia & LUXlife Luxury Design Excellence Award 2026 Now, Jennifer leads Uncommon Interiors with the belief that each client deserves their own personalized space that goes beyond their expectations in both form and function. The firm moulds the creative process to meet each client’s individual needs and personalities, not only ensuring that they feel heard every step of the way but also guaranteeing that the end result is a design entirely unique to them. “I believe that making our clients feel heard and seen throughout the whole process is so important,” Jennifer explained. “I don’t start designing a space until I really understand them. The way they live; the way they function from day to day. I want to understand how they want to feel when they walk into their space. I personalise each space and create intentional moments that make you want to stop and appreciate the details.” For Jennifer, one of the most memorable projects Uncommon Interiors has recently completed was a medspa expansion for NM Aesthetics in partnership with architecture firm GTM. The client requested a space that reflected her personal brand and own personality, a one-of-a-kind environment that would feel fun yet calm and inspire clients to share an experience there. Uncommon Interiors met this brief with fun wallpapers and unique tile designs, combined with fun lighting effects to set the correct atmosphere. “The treatment rooms in particular were created to have a ‘Starry Night’ ceiling,” Jennifer recalled, “with real twinkle lights to give the effect of the stars at night. We were told a couple of times that creating this star ceiling would not be possible due to functional issues. With much time spent resourcing the best-fitting product, we were able to make it happen and the outcome was nothing short of incredible.” Now, Uncommon Interiors is looking to continue growing as a team and take on increasingly larger-scale projects. A country-wide rise in demand for residential design projects promises sustained success for the firm, while a number of upcoming projects within the hospitality sector have drummed up much excitement amongst the team. Looking to the future, Jennifer concluded, “The rest of 2026 is looking promising, and I hope to stay on track with the growth I am currently experiencing and am already planning for 2027.” Contact: Jennifer Neyra Company: Uncommon Interiors Web Address: www.uncomminteriors.com “We take the uncommon approach when it comes to design.” Uncommon Interiors is a luxury boutique interior design firm working in both the residential and commercial industries. Serving its local community of Virgina Beach, Virginia, and offering unrivalled expertise to remote clients via virtual design, the firm enjoys a stellar reputation for delivering reliable, out-of-the-box designs that stray far away from the traditional cookie-cutter approach. Establishing Uncommon Interiors has been a lifelong dream for Founder and Principal Designer Jennifer Neyra. “I knew from when I was 13, rearranging furniture in my bedroom every other day to create the best functional space, that I wanted to be an interior designer,” she told us. “To be the owner of my own design firm is what I have envisioned for my life and prayed for. I have put so much work in to get to the level I am at today; this was not just an overnight hobby.” After attending design school for five years and obtaining the NCIDQ interior design certification, Jennifer was prepared to enter the competitive landscape of interior design. She worked for multiple design firms across the commercial and residential sectors, taking full advantage of the opportunity to study how these businesses operated while also perfecting her own craft over the years. “If I could do this for free then I would, and that’s how I know I am in the right profession.” Uncommon Interiors

8 | LUXlife Magazine to his team, who worked together to make a dream come true and turn a vision into reality. This all comes back to John’s service distinction, something that dates back to his very first construction role. With consistency and discipline as the foundation of every project, John keeps all parties involved, sets clear goals, and creates a cadence of accountability that continues throughout the project and empowers his team. John’s recognition that projects are completed by people and not processes is what differentiates him as a leader, as he is very aware that progress and perfection are often at odds with one another. Striking a balance between the two across everything from his decks and room additions to his bathroom remodels, John told us of the lifestyle shift currently taking place regarding outdoor spaces, with customers wanting wellness-infused outdoor living areas complete with the likes of water features and yoga platforms. This is being driven by the customer’s desire to make spaces more comforting, as a way of prioritising their mental health. Across these and every other type of project covered by Leach Construction, John places an emphasis on using the best materials, ensuring the longevity of his builds. It is thanks to this focus that Leach Construction continues to emerge as the premier construction and remodelling company in St. Louis and beyond. 2026 is thus set to be year of solidification for John and the team, who have many exciting projects in the pipeline, including a deck project with a four-season room, all nestled over one of Missouri’s beautiful lakes. More about John and Leach Construction Company LCC can be found below. Contact: John Leach Company: Leach Construction Company LLC Web Address: https://leachconstructionco.com/ native of St. Louis, Missouri, John Leach’s career in construction began in 1991, soon after he graduated from college. Working in sales for a large home improvement company, a role he would hold for several years, John mastered service and convenience. After selling his projects, John began work with the installation team, being taught a valuable education by skilled tradesmen on how to deliver high-quality products and installations. This knowledge would serve him well when he decided to start his own construction company in 2017, an endeavour that saw John seek to bring a world-class experience to every customer. Over the last nine years, Leach Construction has done exactly that, carving out a name for itself as a dependable construction company specialising in home remodelling, renovation, property management maintenance, and real estate inspection repairs. Today, John leads a team of highly skilled property, construction, and design professionals who take pride in their craft and value a job well done. With John at the helm, no job is too big or too small for Leach Construction, which will carry out everything from tile installations to full renovations for homeowners in Missouri, affording them all the same competitive pricing and close contact that has defined its every project. John explained: “I started this business with people in mind, not because of money.” This mentality has led to a people-before-profit ethos where the needs and wants of customers are placed above anything else, and this helps set it apart from its competitors. Another thing differentiating Leach Construction is that it has worked in many high-profile areas across Missouri, like Jefferson County, St. Louis County, and Lake of the Ozarks. One of the most notable projects worked on by John and his team in recent months was a 900 sq. ft. room addition, which comprised a 12-foot pour basement against an existing eight-foot basement. The project posed a challenge as a result of this difference of four foot, not to mention that the existing home was set just a few metres away from a sharp drop-off at the rear of the property. The project’s architect joked that John would be in Mexico by the time the lawsuit hit, as the home would have slid down to the bottom of the hill. Thankfully, this was not the case, as John and his team were able to design and install a grade beam wall that supported the existing basement and the home, before using a crane and agile carpenters to set the trusses for the covered deck that was also a key part of the addition. The customer loved the finished build, with success being something John attributed Best Custom Home Construction & Remodeling Company 2026 – Missouri Specialising in home construction and remodelling in the St. Louis area and beyond, John Leach stands for people before profit and nurtures trust across all of the projects undertaken by his namesake business, Leach Construction Company LLC. Home and Garden Awards 2026 | 9 Most Innovative Advanced Construction Technology Solutions Company 2026 – USA Exploring the next generation of building solutions, Northstar Technologies Group Inc. is a Florida-based holding company where engineering, manufacturing, construction, and real estate sit together under one roof. Northstar Construction Company, its general contracting arm, focuses on custom residential and commercial work, and caught our attention for the Home and Garden Awards 2026. For more, we caught up with CSO Kyle McLaughlin. Specialising in resilient luxury home construction and modular composite building systems, Northstar Construction Company is a full-service custom home builder in Florida, usually taking on projects under $10m. As well as being a general contractor, the company is also a trusted subcontractor, and has the ability to self-perform numerous trades across the world of construction. This combination of a hands-on approach and its deep technical knowledge with Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) tech helps set the company apart. On the topic of this FRP tech, Kyle told us: “We’ve developed an Advanced Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composite building system that we use across our portfolio, from defence and infrastructure work down to residential. For a homeowner, this translates into walls and structural components that handle wind loads up to 250 mph, don’t rot, don't mould, and don’t lose their R-value over time.” He continued: “In a coastal market like ours, that’s a real conversation, not a marketing line.” It is the materials side of the business that really sets Northstar apart in this environment, and this can be attributed to its presence in the Owens Corning Composites portfolio, which gives it a level of materials science and R&D backing that most builders in the region simply do not have. This foundation has helped the company carve out a values system for itself that revolves around the guiding philosophy of build it once, build it right, and back it up. The point for Northstar is not to be the cheapest, but to truly care for its clients. “If a client is choosing on price alone, they’re usually not our client. What we offer is a combination of materials science most regional builders can’t access, an Owens Corning relationship that backs up the technology, and a team who have actually built things at scale.” Northstar’s philosophy of results-driven care recently defined what is undoubtedly one of its most esteemed projects to date: The Lotus in Naples, Florida. The first home to be built entirely from its modular composite building system, this project solidified Northstar as the leading hurricane-resistant custom home builder Florida, as the devastating Hurricane Ian hit right in the middle of its construction. Kyle explained: “The shell was up but the openings were still exposed – no doors, no windows, nothing buttoned up. By every conventional measure that should have been a disaster. The home came through it without damage. That was the moment we knew the system did what we said it would, in conditions no engineer would design around on purpose.” Kyle continued: “We wanted to demonstrate what post-Ian rebuilding could look like if you started with material science instead of just upgrading what already existed.” The composite shell of this FRP system is a further example of its innovation, with its nonporous nature meaning mould and termites have nothing to eat and its composite rebar foundation solving the issue of concrete spalling that is common with saline-heavy soils in Naples. It is fire-rated to one hour and net-zero ready, and with a reconfigurable wall system to boot, meaning load-bearing walls can be removed, repositioned, or added later, the home can grow either upwards or outwards without the need for demolition. As a result of all of this, The Lotus earned Northstar the 2024 Mark Samuelian Award in Residential Resilience along with a CBIA Sand Dollar Award for Best Specialty Feature. It also opened up a lot of doors for Kyle and the team, who are continuing to deploy their comprehensive approach, which includes a real site analysis before the design and specifying envelope and structural systems early – as well as keeping its sub-list short and its communication tight, across the state. With the construction sector in Florida in the middle of a push towards resilience as a result of Hurricane Ian and the Florida Building Code continuing to tighten, Northstar remains focused on raising the bar for FRP composite construction in Southwest Florida specifically. What ultimately sets it apart is that, whilst most builders focus on craftsmanship and finish, Northstar’s emphasis is on the bones of the house, which determine whether it is still standing and how it is performing in 50 years. 10 | LUXlife Magazine Best Luxury Gemstone Decor Brand 2026 – Scandinavia Gem Decors is a Sweden-based gemstone brand specialising in carefully selected natural stones and mineral specimens for interior design and personal spaces. The business works with trusted suppliers worldwide to source these pieces, selecting items that stand out for their quality, natural formation, and visual presence. Founder Ana Ezerets shares more about the philosophy behind the brand below, as Gem Decors is recognised in the Home and Garden Awards 2026. customers are invited to discover the story behind every specimen and connect with the qualities that make each stone unique. Education remains an important part of the Gem Decors experience. Through insights into gemmology and mineral formation, the brand encourages a deeper appreciation of these remarkable creations. “What makes this stand out is the level of engagement and trust that has developed over time,” Ana explained. “Many clients return regularly, and it is not uncommon to hear that some of the most valued pieces in their collections were discovered during these live sessions. This direct interaction has allowed us to better understand what resonates with our audience, while also creating a sense of community around the brand.” Looking ahead, Ana plans to expand the collection with carefully sourced specimens and new forms of functional gemstone décor. The company is also exploring collaborations and selected retail partnerships that will allow more people to experience these remarkable pieces in person. As Scandinavia's Best Luxury Gemstone Decor Brand 2026, Gem Decors remains committed to a simple idea: some of the most extraordinary works of art were created not by human hands, but by nature itself. By helping more people discover, appreciate and connect with these unique creations, the brand hopes to continue changing the way natural stones and minerals are perceived for years to come. Web Address: www.gemdecors.com “Every mineral has its own structure, colours and story,” Ana explains. “We want people to appreciate these pieces not only for their beauty, but also for their individuality. Nature never repeats itself. Even two specimens from the same mineral deposit can never be identical. That uniqueness is what makes natural stones so fascinating.” Just as no two mineral specimens are alike, neither are the people who choose them. Gem Decors encourages this personal connection, helping customers discover pieces that reflect their individual taste and bring beauty and authenticity into their living spaces. Rather than focusing on volume, the brand prioritises carefully selected pieces chosen for their natural beauty, distinctive formations and ability to enhance an interior or garden setting. Gem Decors works exclusively with natural stones and avoids dyed or artificially enhanced materials, believing that the true value of a mineral lies in its originality. Every specimen is unique, offering something that cannot be replicated, manufactured or reproduced. In many ways, this represents a modern definition of luxury. In a world of mass production and endless duplication, natural mineral specimens offer genuine rarity and individuality. Even works of art created by human hands can often be reproduced, while no two natural mineral formations will ever be exactly the same. Each piece exists as a singular creation of nature, making it both deeply personal and truly irreplaceable. This approach shines through every aspect of Gem Decors' operations, but none so much as its recently expanded offering of live, interactive product presentations. Rather than treating these events as simple sales moments, Gem Decors approaches them as curated showcases where each piece is presented in detail, including its formation, structure and distinctive characteristics. Through these presentations, Based in Karlstad, Sweden, Gem Decors offers a carefully curated collection of natural stones, ranging from statement mineral specimens to functional gemstone décor such as bookends, trays and decorative objects that combine beauty with everyday use. Through its online boutique and interactive product presentations, the brand connects collectors, interior enthusiasts and design-conscious individuals with pieces selected for their character, authenticity and aesthetic appeal. At the heart of Gem Decors is a desire to broaden the way natural stones and minerals are perceived. In a landscape saturated with fierce competition, Gem Decors distinguishes itself from the crowd through its belief that minerals are far more than collector's items or objects associated with spirituality. Instead, the brand presents them as nature's works of art — unique creations shaped over millions of years that bring beauty, character and individuality into homes, interiors and gardens, while inspiring a deeper appreciation for nature's creativity.

These products are all crafted from 100% bamboo, with its bamboo bed linen featuring the highest available thread count of any bamboo bedding in the UK at 400. This is comparable to the softness and durability of cotton exceeding a thread count of 1,200, thanks to bamboo’s finer and naturally smoother fibres. Bamboo bedding, whilst just as soft and luxurious as high-end cotton, also has the added bonus of all of bamboo’s natural benefits, without the premium price tag. This includes helping to regulate temperature and wicking moisture away from skin around three times faster than cotton, making this bedding ideal for those who get too hot at night. It is also soft, breathable, hypoallergenic, and produced sustainably due to bamboo growing rapidly and being one of the most renewable resources on the planet. Of course, Lost Loom is not the first to notice the endless benefits of bamboo bedding, and whilst many companies have introduced products that take advantage of its natural benefits, Richard believed there was a clear gap in the market due to nobody creating a luxury, premium product within the category. As the company founder explained: “Lost Loom was established to take a different approach, combining the inherent advantages of bamboo with a higher standard of quality, finish, and overall refinement.” A family-run business working out of its 7,500 square-foot warehouse in Cheltenham, it is from this location that Lost Loom takes great pride in offering the highest quality bamboo bedding in the UK, with all of its L

We believe strongly that a home should reflect the lifestyles of those who live within those walls, but should more importantly be a sanctuary to let go, breathe, and escape the demands of a busy day.” This is the ethos behind every project the studio completes, including a notable one where Kim was referred to homeowners who had purchased a new property and were immediately suffering from buyer’s remorse, so much so that they were considering putting the house back on the market. Arriving at the property, Kim discovered that, whilst the interiors were dated and not very functional, the silver lining was that the bare bones of the house were strong and the view that it offered was nothing short of spectacular, due to it being set on a golf course and complete with both a resort-style pool and a waterfall. Kim’s optimism paved the way for extensive conversations and the development of a design direction, and this was enough for the owners to stay and begin turning their tired house into their forever home. The project took a couple of years to complete, as it required a total renovation of the main level, as well as a reimagining of the terrace level, which was fitted with a media and billiards room to accommodate the owners’ lifestyle and large family gatherings. Other standout features include an all-seasons veranda overlooking the pool and golf course, with this late addition adding the finishing touches on a unique, fabulous house. Looking back on this high-end interior design project now that it is finished, Kim told us: “This project was particularly rewarding as it required guiding the homeowners to visualise the home’s potential. Our design process guided them through concept development and visual representation of the design with all material elements. The original disjointed and visually underwhelming house has been completely transformed into their beautiful, liveable, forever home.” This level of transformation is where Piroli Design excels. Home and Garden Awards 2026 | 13 Best Full-Service Interior Design Firm 2026 – Greater Philadelphia Modern interior design has undergone a significant transformation in recent years. Homeowners of today are now seeking spaces that feel both elevated and liveable, placing as much emphasis on functionality as form. This is an ethos championed wholeheartedly by MDH Designs, a fullservice interior design firm based in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, that has built a reputation for creating unique spaces that allow its clients to thrive. We heard more from Owner and Lead Designer Melissa Hallowell below, as MDH Designs is named in the Home and Garden Awards 2026. Since its inception in 2012, MDH Designs has dedicated itself to creating beautiful, functional spaces that reflect each client’s unique lifestyle and vision. The full-service interior design and remodelling company specialises in residential interior design, kitchen and bathroom remodels, space planning, custom finishes, and full-home transformations. In a highly competitive industry, clients choose MDH Designs for the experience it provides just as much as the final result itself. Home renovations and design projects are major investments that can be incredibly overwhelming, so clients understandably look for a team that truly listens, understands their vision, and makes them feel confident throughout the entire journey. MDH Designs makes it a priority to guide clients through every step of the process, whilst keeping timelines, expectations, and design decisions as seamless as possible. Its team works closely with homeowners seeking thoughtful design solutions, taking the time to understand their distinct needs, style preferences, and goals. This approach ensures that the end result is a successfully completed project and a space that feels both beautiful and functional for their everyday needs. “Every project is personal to us,” Melissa stated. “At MDH Designs we are passionate about transforming spaces into homes our clients genuinely love living in. While beautiful design is always important, our focus goes far beyond aesthetics; we aim to create spaces that truly reflect our clients’ lifestyles whilst making the renovation experience feel approachable, organised, and enjoyable.” This approach shone through in the full kitchen and bathroom redesign MDH Designs has recently completed. The homeowner wanted to completely transform these outdated spaces into something more modern, functional, and personalised to their style. This project became a highly collaborative process; the client had a strong vision, and the team worked hard to guide them through the design and renovation whilst helping to refine ideas for aesthetics and functionality. As with many renovation projects, there were certainly challenges along the way, particularly when working with the existing layout and ensuring that every design choice complemented the flow of the home. By staying responsive, detailed-oriented, and flexible, MDH Designs successfully overcame obstacles with efficiency and kept the project moving smoothly, demonstrating that communication and problem-solving are key to success. “The final result featured a dramatic, highend kitchen design paired with a beautifully updated bathroom that balanced luxury and practicality,” Melissa shared. “Projects like this truly reflect what MDH Designs is all “Your Dream, Our Blueprint!” about: bringing our clients’ visions to life while creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional for everyday living. We take pride in helping homeowners transform their spaces into homes they genuinely love spending time in, and that passion is what continues to drive our work and growth moving forward.” Looking ahead, the future of MDH Designs is focused on continued growth, expanding client relationships, and taking on more transformative residential design and remodelling projects throughout 2026. The team currently has several upcoming kitchen, bathroom, and full-home renovation projects in development, including the New Remodel Project in Mexico City, with many homeowners looking to refresh and modernise their spaces while adding long-term value to their homes. As the industry continues to evolve, MDH Designs also plans to further expand its online presence and showcase more completed projects to connect with homeowners seeking a more hands-on, collaborative design experience. The firm has noted increasing interest from consumers in custom design details, intentional space planning, and homes that feel both luxurious and liveable. These are all areas that MDH Designs excels in, and we at LUXlife Magazine are confident that the firm will continue to prove its position as Greater Philadelphia’s Best Full-Service Interior Design Firm 2026. “We are hoping to expand more with future projects in Mexico City. Overall, the rest of 2026 is looking very promising,” Melissa concluded. “Demand for thoughtful, high-quality home renovations remains strong, and we are excited to continue growing while helping our clients bring their visions to life through spaces that truly feel like home.” Contact: Melissa Hallowell Company: MDH Designs Web Address: www.mdhdesignsllc.com

14 | LUXlife Magazine Best Women-Led Home & Lifestyle Brand 2026 – UK Standing for affordable, luxury home décor in the UK and Guernsey, Maison Lifestyle is an independent lifestyle business operating a clothing and home décor shop in the heart of Guernsey, as well as an online store serving the wider UK. Blending clothing, homeware, lifestyle products, and now homestyling services, Maison Lifestyle is the creation of Ellie Schreibke, who started it two years ago at the age of 20. For more on the fresh perspective she brings to the industry, we spoke with Ellie, who was recently recognised as part of our Home and Garden Awards 2026. A thoroughly modern home and lifestyle brand, Maison Lifestyle aims to bring joy to everyday living. The brand believes that great style should be accessible, personal, and last for a long time, and that is why its collections combine modern design with timeless appeal, ensuring that every design brought into a person’s home is something they can love for years to come. Everything it offers is unique, resulting in exceptional, design-led products that cannot be found anywhere else across the island of Guernsey. Working with many female-founded, UKbased brands, Maison Lifestyle is itself run by a passionate team of women, with Ellie’s first-class degree in interior design informing both the retail curation and approach to interior projects her brand takes. Ellie added: “Operating within an island environment brings its own unique challenges, particularly around sourcing and logistics, but I’ve embraced this by building strong relationships with UK brands and ensuring our collections remain fresh, distinctive, and accessible.” As mentioned above, Maison Lifestyle has also started offering home-styling services, and Ellie excitedly told us that she has just completed her first full project in this area for one of the brand’s regular customers, marking an impressive milestone. The project was not without its challenges – the client was living in temporary accommodation and had a mix of furniture they had collected over the years – but a clear brief allowed Ellie to deliver a cohesive, feminine space that felt like home but was still renter-friendly. This project is a great example of how impactful styling can be achieved without undertaking a full redesign or requiring a significant financial investment - something that is often overlooked in the wider world of interior design. As Ellie commented: “This project has reinforced my vision for the styling offering: helping people create beautiful, personal spaces in a way that is both accessible and sustainable.” Offering such a personal level of service is vital for the brand’s survival, given it is operating in a competitive industry and within a small island market. Whether it is scoping out new products for the store or working closely with a customer to source a specific piece, the emphasis is always on building genuine, lasting relationships. The brand’s physical store in Guernsey is an added bonus here, as it offers a human connection that online retail cannot replicate. Unsurprisingly, most sales are in-person. This means that Ellie and her team are mainly serving Guernsey locals, and with the island’s home sector being shaped by a unique mix of traditional and modern living – Guernsey is best known for farmhouses and coastal homes, but the majority of residents live in smaller apartments or new-build properties – it is important for the shop to help customers craft interiors that deliver softness, warmth, and personality. This is especially true when it comes to interior styling for smaller homes, which Maison Lifestyle specialise in. What’s more, the fact that the island is small means that many residents have historically turned to virtual, offshore services when it comes to their interior styling, particularly those who are working within a budget. So, by offering an affordable, in-person service for locals, the brand immediately stands out when it comes to creating accessible luxury that makes everyday living feel just that bit more special. Finally, turning her attention to the future, Ellie told us that the long-term aim is to establish a physical retail space in the UK. The first step was expanding its online presence to the UK market, and, having done this, Ellie is working to build a diverse portfolio of clients that can access all of these services. In closing, she shared: “2026 is set to be a year of expansion, with a focus on scaling the brand thoughtfully while maintaining the same level of quality and customer experience that defines Maison Lifestyle today.” We wish Maison Lifestyle the best of luck as it continues to redefine luxury home décor in Guernsey and the UK, and urge our readers to find out more about its affordable home styling and other homeware and lifestyle offerings at the website below.
