The venue did not launch its coworking space until 2019, after hearing consistent interest from small business owners, remote professionals, and startup leads looking for flexible workspace and a sense of community, all under one roof. Furthermore, Riverside EpiCenter’s health and wellness offerings have also evolved significantly. As member interests changed, the team expanded the venue’s group fitness programming and introduced new classes to better reflect the lifestyles and wellness goals of its community. Riverside EpiCenter has taken a similar approach with its entertainment offerings by enhancing its Brunswick bowling experience, expanding its arcade, and continually investing in attractions that appeal to today’s guests. Community programming has become another defining aspect of Riverside EpiCenter. In 2018, the venue launched its annual Trunk or Treat, beginning as a local event and quickly evolving into a signature community celebration welcoming between 3,000 and 5,000 guests each year. Alongside this came the launch of EPIC Talks, a Lunch and Learn series designed to bring together community leaders, subject matter experts, and residents for meaningful conversations around current issues. Riverside EpiCenter’s event and production capabilities have also continued to evolve. The venue relocated its café to a storefront location to make it more accessible to the community, invested in a state-ofthe-art LED wall within REC LIVE to expand the creative possibilities for productions and events, and partnered with Xperience LIVE to bring more concerts, theatrical performances, comedy shows, and live entertainment to its campuses. These enhancements were simply not possible when Riverside EpiCenter first opened its doors. “Looking ahead, we believe evolution is part of our responsibility,” Christopher shared. “Guest expectations will continue to change, new technologies will emerge, and communities will seek different kinds of experiences. Having relocated the café, the venue now seeks to transform its second-floor atrium into an expanded coworking environment. This vision includes additional private offices, flexible office pods, collaborative workspaces, and premium member amenities. Demand has consistently exceeded the venue’s current capacity, with its private offices fully leased and an active waiting list of businesses eager to join the community. Beyond this, the venue is looking forward to the development of an outdoor amphitheatre and EV charging lounge adjacent to its Tesla charging station. This project has the potential to create an entirely new gathering space for the community while serving the rapidly growing population of electric vehicle drivers. At the same time, Riverside EpiCenter’s new partnership with Xperience LIVE is allowing the venue to expand its calendar with more concerts, performances, and entertainment, bringing even more people together and providing new opportunities for the community to gather, connect, and celebrate.
